For iPhone TomTom developed for satellite navigation application. The application is available for -
USA, Canada, Western and Eastern Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
The application allows you to navigate the terrain with the use of cartographic data, satellitepositioning and navigation technology stepwise. The basis of the application is software that is installed on the car navigators TomTom. However, unlike thenavigators TomTom, the application for the iPhone has a portrait and landscape modes of navigation, and offers direct access to addresses in the book ofcontacts.
New in version 1.4.1:
1. Appeared completely TomToma Russian interface – if the siphon as the main language for the Russian – interface TomToma becompletely in Russian. IMHO as always in such cases, the translation sometimes funny.
2. Advanced Lane Guidance – improving the management of lanes atinterchanges. IMHO there is not a new saw.
3. Seamless navigation while calling (iPhone 3GS only) – as I understand it when they call the TT is not winding downand continues to show where to go. Here it is – multitasking. IMHO required iOS 4.h.h
4. Background navigation instructions (iPhone 3GS & iPod touch 3rd Gen.Only) Work as a background application and support of voice instructions in the background. And not just when they call but when you start another application.IMHO required iOS 4.h.h
5. Clippers funny, you can choose instead of the standard cursor, a triangle …
6. Route sharing – can be sent by mail from the contactsof the route, current position, endpoints, etc.
7. Departure reminder – you can plan your route and indicate the time of arrival at the endpoint, then the TTcharges "standard calendar and siphon itself will tell when you need quick Start to arrive according to the route to the final destination at a specifiedtime.
Other features are left over from earlier versions – unfortunately, MapShare not added yet …
Detailed map seamlessly covering Europe now extended toinclude Greece, Turkey and Russia. With IQ Routes ™ data for faster routing.
Users of devices with limited memory may not be able to install the complete mapon their device, but will be able to choose between and switch map zones using TomTom HOME.
